This is the only note (reprint) of $50 issued with the year date in 2009. The $50 is rather the more popular denomination circulating in the country. Here I have posted the first and last prefix of the notes, and only the reverse sides are uploaded.

A million of the first prefix AA09 were printed and about half for the last prefix piece. I do not believe they are rare.

I believe this is the second circulating commemorative note ever issued in Australia. This note celebrates the 100th year of the Australia Federation (1901-2001).

Here I have posted the first prefix of this series - AA01. The prefixes range from AA01 to JD01.

These are the only two notes of $50 and $100 both printed in 1999. Because of the potential of the millennium bugs that may affect the country's electronic banking system, NPA printed these two high denominations of banknotes in case we had a melt down with the banking system. Fortunately nothing happened and we then see a lot of these notes circulating in the economy. Since then the $100 was not reprinted until in 2008.
