Fifty Dollars Next Gen Series ND2018
This is the new $50 polymer banknotes and is the third issue for the Next Gen series. This note was issued on 18.10.2018. The prefixes issued are from AA18 to IB18.
The Reserve Bank of Australia retains the main designs of this note with the portrait of David Unaipon on the front and Edith Cowan on the back. Both the portraits are slightly modified too.
David Unaipon was a preacher, inventor and author, whilst Edith Dircksey Cowan OBE was a former member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly
Update:-
On 09.05.2019, almost seven months after it was first released, it was reported that the entire issue was all printed with an error on the note. The micro text word 'RESPONSIBIL(I)TY' is missing the 3rd "I". This error is repeated 3 times, on lines 2, 8 and 20. As all notes are printed with the same error and therefore it's not rare!
This is a bit embarrassing but nothing can be done. No doubt the next reprints will have these corrected.
